Analytics in Creatively Squared gives you everything you need to understand and optimise your ad performance. This article walks through each feature so you can get the most from your data.
1. Connecting your ad accounts
To get started, you’ll need to connect your ad account. See the full guide here
2. Ad selection
Within the Analytics dashboard, you can choose exactly which campaigns, ad sets, or ads to analyse.
Use the Assets dropdown to expand campaigns and see the ad sets inside.
Select campaigns or ad sets to focus your analysis.
Use the date range selector to set the time period. You can also choose campaign dates to match the start and end of the campaign automatically.
Use the search bar to quickly find a campaign or ad set by name.
3. Data views and grouping
Analytics offers multiple ways to visualise your results:
Assets are shown as bar charts by default.
Switch between bar, line, or card view using the chart icon.
Group data by campaign, ad set, or asset for different levels of analysis.
Scroll down to the table to select which assets to compare. Hover over any chart to see detailed metrics.
In line charts, you can also adjust the time interval to daily, weekly, or monthly.
This flexibility makes it easy to see both the big picture and the details.
4. Metrics and presets
Metrics give you control over what you measure:
Open the metrics dropdown and select a preset. Presets instantly load a set of metrics aligned to goals like awareness or clicks.
If you change a metric, the view switches to Custom.
Select up to six metrics at a time. Tick or untick to show or hide them, or remove one to replace it.
Browse by category (e.g. Video, Universal, Engagement) or search to find a specific metric.
Adjust how assets appear in the table and chart by clicking the sorting arrow next to each column header.
5. Advanced filters
Filters let you refine your dataset:
Filter by name (e.g. contains or does not contain).
Filter by type (image vs. video) or by status (active, in process, inactive).
Filter by metrics (e.g. reach > 10,000, spend > $100, engagement > 2,000).
Combine multiple filters to get very specific.
The number of active filters is shown at the top. Remove them one by one, or clear them all at once.
6. Individual ad breakdown
Click on any ad thumbnail in a chart or table to open its breakdown. Here you’ll find:
All metrics for that ad (even those not shown in the main charts).
Expandable sections for universal, video, or engagement metrics.
A preview of how the ad appeared in different placements.
Breakdowns by watch behaviour, placement performance, and audience demographics like age and gender.
The ability to switch between metrics like spend, reach, or engagement, and apply filters within the breakdown.
7. Saved views
Saved views make it easy to come back to the data that matters most.
Set up filters, date ranges, and campaigns.
Click Save → Save new view, give it a name, and add an optional description.
Choose to keep it private, or make it public so your team can access it.
To update, open the view, make changes, and click Update view.
Manage all saved views from the Views list — sort, filter, or pin up to three for quick access.
Edit or delete views anytime.
Analytics lets you move seamlessly from the big picture down to individual ads. With account connections, flexible views, custom metrics, filters, and saved setups, you’ll have everything you need to understand performance and act on insights quickly.
